For Sale ,a Celestion 12” Woofer dating from about 1970?, it is in great ,used condition. made in UK.The chassis is 308mm diameter and it has an overall depth of 125mm. DC resistance is 7.2 Ohms.The manufacturers sticker has been attached to the speaker magnet with clear tape , as it became detached .Not sure which Celestion models this driver is used in ,I will leave that to the buyer.It will be protected by an mdf plate over the chassis front ,see pics.It will be well packed on despatch.

Vintage Celestion CX1512 12 Full Range Dual Concentric 1960s British Speaker. Very rare these days which makes it very difficult to value. Tested and in working order. The Cone code seems to be 868 006 or possibly 868 806 There are some small(ish) marks as can be seen in pics between the 12 “o”clock and 2 “o”clock positions near the outer cone edge. It looks like something has bumped the cone from the other side. Speaker date code stamp looks like 10JA which doesn’t make sense as that would date it to Oct 1956 and I don’t think the speakers were introduced until 1962. Celestion CX 1512 Hi-Fi speaker Studio Series 1960s Thames Ditton. Rare collectors item. Made in England by Celestion Ltd, Thames Ditton, Surrey - before the factory moved to Ipswich. This speaker is in good used condition - please see pictures - Believed to have been made in the early 1960s. From what I can gather on the web these are Ultra rare Coaxial Celestion units with inbuilt Celestion tweeter (predecessor to HF1300?) mounted centrally and crossed over at 4khz. The 12” unit has a treated paper surround. It is very efficient so great for valve amps. Overall Frequency Response 20-15000 C/S Power Handling 15 Watts UK. 30watts USA Fundemental Resonance 35 C/S Cross Over Frequency 4KC/S Impedance 15/16 Ohms. Celestion SL600Si with sturdy metal stands. Ive cleaned them up and painted in the front driver/tweeter mounting plates. The stands were also painted in black. Very accurate but analytical almost clinical speakers in my opinion... These speakers need lots of current. Consecutive Serial Numbers: 732494 & 732495. Collection from Chalfont St Peter. Unique cabinets fabricated from a 0.5-thick, Aerolam (aluminum-honeycomb) aircraft flooring material. While low in mass, thus minimizing energy storage, it is sufficiently stiff enough for the resonances of its panels to be pushed almost two octaves higher in frequency than with a conventional wooden cabinet. The contribution to the overall sound from the flexing of the enclosure walls will thus be moved away from the region where instruments and voices have their energy maxima, and will also be lower in level. The result should be a low delayed-resonance signature, with correspondingly low levels of midrange coloration. Relisted due to non paying buyer! Heres a super rare 1971 Celestion G12H-30 Greenback T1281. Pre rola!! This has its original pulsonic cone but the coil is rubbing and the spider and dust cap are unglued. Will need repair or recone prior to use. Sold as is for parts or repair. Coil tests well at 12 ohms DCR. Coil is rubbing but cone is in overall good shape. The spider is completely unglued as is the dust cap. Sold AS-IS due to age and obvious condition issues.
