I have fully refurbished this Sony CDp-361 to include a new high-quality tray loading belt and a new old stock KSS-240A laser. The mechanism has been completely disassembled, cleaned and oiled and greased as necessary. The result is a CD player that works perfectly and sounds fantastic. This uses the same DAC chip as many of Sony’s high-end ES machines of the time. It also has an optical digital output so you can feed its signal to a DAC of your choice. There are standard RCA analogue outputs of course, and a headphone jack with a front-mounted volume control and onboard headphone amp that is extremely powerful. Features are quite nice too, with all the usual programming functions and direct track access. It has a digital servo system that dynamically adjusts the laser parameters in real time, so it has no problem playing scratched discs, as well as home-recorded CD-Rs. SONY CDP-361 CD player Compact Disc with original remote. For sale, this terrific vintage CD player. Its served me well for a few years now. Works perfectly and sounds great. Amazingly silent drawer mechanism. The top is quite scuffed from wear & tear - not my doing, I should add! The scuffs are not visible from the front if the player is sited in a rack or cabinet. Comes with original remote control - missing its battery cover. Player has digital & analogue outputs, both fully working. No original packaging, but will securely pack for dispatch.
