Der Schubladenmechanismus wurde zerlegt und gereinigt, die Sinterlager der Schubstange neu geölt und die vier Antriebsriemen erneuert. Das selektierte CDM-1 Schwenkarmlaufwerk wurde auf die Einhaltung aller Parameter durchgemessen. Darüber hinaus wurden die Platinen PD16, PP16, PP26 und PV16 auf kalte Lötstellen überprüft und bei Bedarf nachgelötet. Um den Klang zu optimieren wurden die werksmäßigen Cinch-Buchsen durch geschraubte Exemplare von Neutrik ersetzt, eine reversible No Oversampling Modifikation durchgeführt (beide Digitalausgänge bleiben erhalten) und die Versorgungskondensatoren der analogen Ausgangsstufe durch Exemplare von Black Gate ersetzt. XLR signal outputs deliver huge sound quality improvements!The player is very clean, sounds amazingly good and looks very good despite a few surface signs of use. Front panel is in perfect conditions. Please take a look at the actual photos.This is as you already know very well built and heavy player. All metal construction as built in the best days of consumer electronics.The display may have a few segments that are not clearly visible from some angles.It is fully recapped and ready for another lifetime of music enjoyment. All electrolytic capacitors on all boards are replaced with brand new Nichicon, OsCON, Rubycon, Panasonic high quality capacitors. Magnavox FD1040 with Philips CD-1 laser and 2xTDA1540 in NOS Mode; Fully Recapped; Upgraded; Extremely musical, transparent, easy to listen to and analog, tube like sound.Magnavox FD1040 is internally the same as the famous Philips CD-104.This is very well built player with metal chassis and all metal pieces (except front buttons and display). Very heavy!Made in Belgium!This is an excellent CD Player! It sounds amazingly good. It has signs of regular use, but it is extremely clean inside and out.Please take a look at the photos.If you have a high resolution system you will hear the sound improvements from the first moment you play the music from this player. If you do not, then this is a good start to improve your system and find out the weak link in your system as with this player you will have the audio source that you can use as a reference.This player is modified to work in NOS (Non Over Sampling) Mode and sounds fabulous. The best description is musical and analog sounding.Its sound performance will surpass many high end CD players costing thousands. Yes, it is true. I have checked and already compared.The NOS (Non Over Sampling) mode disables digital manipulation that is fundamentally damaging sound quality. Running it in NOS mode you will hear exact content written on CDs without any damaging bitstream manipulation.
