Massdrop x Cavalli Tube Hybrid Balanced Headphone Amp Drop CIB. Out of stock headphone amp released by drop. Includes balanced output. Everything works great and is in good cosmetic condition. There are a few pinpoint nicks in the top of the unit. Please see pictures for details. I bought it used recently and works well, but I didn’t notice an improvement over my solid state headphone amp, so this one must go! Included are the box, power supply, protective bag, and two vintage NOS tubes that have been tested by me by running the amp in my personal listening sessions for about 20 hours each. The pins in both have been cleaned and polished so that they are sounding great in this amp. They are: A General Electric Conrac 6FQ7/6CG7 tube An unbranded 6922 tube Both USA manufactured ————————————————- PLEASE NOTE The original buyer for this unit asked for a return after a month after one channel cut out. I accepted the return and found the original tube I had included had died. I have extensively tested this unit since its return for about 100 hours total across 10 different known working tubes I’ve had. I could not reproduce any defects with buzzing or bad channels even a single time using any of my good tubes in either balanced or SE outputs. For this reason, I have included two of those tested working tubes in this re-listing to help ensure you will have a great sounding amp as soon as you open the box. Please note that due to the vintage nature of the tubes and this kind of technology, I cannot guarantee any number of hours of use you will get out of them before you need to replace them. I can only guarantee that the unit itself is working perfectly. Please also be aware that newly manufactured tubes you may buy to use in this unit can have quality control issues. ***USED BUT IN FLAWLESS CONDITION*** I absolutely loved my time using this amp, but living in a smaller space means downsizing on the things I own in general. Lucky for you, that means this awesome hybrid tube amp can be yours! Ive tried tube rolling with some pretty great results, so definitely give that a shot alongside the default tube. The unit is a little dusty, but there are no scratches or scuffs on the finish. Just needs a quick wipe from its new owner :) Includes original power adapter and tube.
