The Richmond 2 were regarded by many as the best speaker the firm ever made. Condition and Item Details Condition: In good, clean cosmetic condition especially considering their age. The cabinets have been repainted at some point. Its not the best job in the world (overpaint on the badges at the back and a few parts slightly fading)... however they do look nice just looking at them... and im sure better than many of the remaining few left out there today. Both drivers have had new dustcaps fitted on the drivers. The tweeters originally had a stupidly thin paper mesh type material over them that had perished. I removed these on both speakers and to my surprise can see it was purely a visual part and covering the actual plastic tweeter itself. With a cool purple tinge to them I actually think seeing the tweeters improves the retro look of the speakers. There is NO impact on sound quality and just improved looks!Details: Tested throughly and the speakers are working perfectly. Tweeters, drivers and crossovers all working as they should. These speakers shocked me - genuinely. If they were in perfect original condition I would be selling these for a lot more! The sound quality is fantastic. Compared with many speakers I hear from the likes of Technics, Kenwood and Sony everyday, these blow them all out of the water at this price. Really clear crisp treble and a great low bass with nice depth and detail. Obviously sound is subjective but in my opinion these sound every bit as good as some pairs of speakers Ive had costing £300+! Included: Speaker wire with banana jacks and power leads.
