This is not working perfectly. Let me explain what is working and what is not. I was able to play discs on 123 and 5. Playing on 4 position resulted in a lot of skipping. On all playback, you can only hear music mostly out of the left channel. There’s barely anything coming out of the right channel. I experienced the same thing in using headphones. So something about the right channel playback is not working. The soft EQ feature works. Playing a disc while opening the disc array works for the most part. However, sometimes it’ll skip slightly while it’s opening or closing. I do not have a remote control for this.

Tubes light up and everything as far as the face display lights up. The unit is in good aesthetic condition, but there are a few minor scratches on the top corner. CARVER SD/A-490t. Used for a while, but Ive slowly phased CDS out. For a gear from 1991 it sure sounds pretty sweet. The tube amplifier on the inside absolutely gives it a warm texture that I havent heard with any other CD players. I mostly listen to it with the headphone out function, but theres also a line and variable out on the back to connect to an amplifier. As you can see in photo number 2, I cut a hole in the top. This is because the motor that opens and closes the CD tray was wearing out and instead of taking it apart and getting a new motor like a normal person would I just cut a hole and I open and close the CD tray by hand. *Shoes not included
