I bought these wonderful compact CANTON PLUS XL loudspeakers for a rarely-used system I had on the third floor of my home in CT in 2011. I downsized to an apartment in NYC in 2018 and the speakers have sat unused in a dry, moisture-free, smoke-free storage facility since then. I have just finished testing them by playing them for a few days using my main all McCormack Audio system and they sound fabulous, like they did when new. These speakers can run and sound very good on just a few watts, but these speakers can handle a lot of power and sound quite refined for their size and their original price when mated with the a big powerful amp like the McCormack DNA-1. Condition: Id rate them conservatively an 8 based on age mostly. There are a few minor scratches and tiny dings that are hard to see with the human eye, even close up. The cabinets have no cracks. The speakers cones themselves are in perfect condition with no tears or blemishes. These speakers look good!!! In Dolby surround systems Plus XL is suitable for operation as front and surround speakers. Rugged plastic cabinets and detachable metal grill round-off the excellent workmanship of this box. By virtue of bass reflex adjustment the Plus XL has outstandingly brilliant dynamic performance. The rounded, carefully manufactured Plus XL box with removable front grille is the best evidence of Plus XL speakers high quality of detail.
