As for the volume pot itself, we’ve used an ALPs film type volume pot which delivers accurate volume control and superb low level channel balance so the volume is always perfectly controlled across both left and right channels at whatever volume you’re enjoying. The refined circuit board layout also minimises the interference (crosstalk) between the left and right stereo channels so each stays independent and unaffected by the other. This results in a lifelike sound stage where you can virtually place each instrument in the room - just like being at a live show! We achieve this by using symmetrical and separated circuit paths and by entirely separating out the left and right heat sinks. This is only normally engineered into amplifiers costing many times more so the performance you get out of the CXA60 is incredible at this price. The full 60 watts of power also comes from class AB amplification. Class AB delivers very little crossover distortion so your music sounds purer and more controlled.
