While the Analog ouputs do NOT work, the transport, and the Digital Output both work as they should, and the display is clear and working properly. While we dont know the history of the unit as it came in a large collection that we purchased, it appears upon opening the unit that an upgrade was poorly done to the Analog output section. The parts used in the upgrade are from a company called Burson Audio, and many of the boards that were installed came loose. Four of the units had fallen off. All of the parts will be included in the sale. It is likely that the upgrade was done by a company named Perfect Sound Audio as their sticker is on the back of the unit. The unit is in good physical condition with some scuffs and blemishes, most notably on the top edge of the faceplated and a couple on the front. There are no deep scratches, or dents on the unit. The original remote is included and is in working condition. There is a dent on the right side of the remote, and it is highlighted in the pictures. Please see pictures for further information. Ich hatte mich im Vergleich gegen den schöneren und ebenbürtigen Yamaha entschieden, weil beim Cambridge der Bass noch tiefer und facettenreicher klang. Die Anlage hat vielleicht 30 LPs abgespielt und 30- 40 CDs, weil ich ständig unterwegs war (beruflich). Ich trenne mich davon, weil ich keine Sentry III / Electro Voice mehr habe. (Meiner Frau waren die im Wege). Ich habe nun den Umzug in ein fernes Land vor. Ich denke für den Verstärker sind mindestens 900 Euro kein übertriebener Voranschlag (Neupreis ~1600€). Aufgewachsen ist der Verstärker Tier- (leider) und rauchfrei. ACHTUNG: Gerade passiert! Bein fotografieren der Fernbedienung ist mit das Teil auf die Kante meines Tisches gefallen. Hier ist nun eine Macke von c. 1- 2 mm entstanden. So ein Sch.... (18.11.23/ 18:00h). Transport: Auf Grund der besonderen Ware, schlage ich vor, darüber im Vorfeld zu sprechen. Herzstück des 351A ist ein hochwertiger schwerer Ringkerntransformator, der aufgrund seiner großen Leistungsreserven, hervorragenden Basswiedergabe, Klangfülle sowie seines großen Detailreichtums im gesamten Lautstärkebereich gewählt wurde. Diese Transformatorwahl führt zwar einerseits zu höheren Kosten und mehr Gewicht für den 351A, nimmt aber andererseits auch erheblichen Einfluß auf dessen hervorragende Klangqualität. Cambridge verzichtet generell auf unnötigen Schnickschnack und so besitzt auch der 351A nur Funktionen, die auch wirklich benötigt werden. Das elegante Metallgehäuse wurde nicht in erster Line aufgrund ästhetischer Überlegungen gewählt, sondern hauptsächlich weil es resonanzarm und stabil ist. Die gebürstete Aluminiumfront ist ein Lehrstück in Sachen Minimalismus und weist abgesehen von Lautstärkeregler, Einschaltknopf und Gerätewahltaste lediglich Klangregler auf, mit denen Sie den Stereoeffekt in Ihrem Wohnzimmer optimieren können.
