This is a very high end CD -player from the 90s made by California Audio Labs. The unit has been fully tested except for remote functions. THE REMOTE IS NOT INCLUDED. This unit is rarely seen, especially the Ist gen. Once the CAL units gained popularity they made a MKII unit, which is more commonly found. The exterior looks great. The only issue is with some of the buttons. The buttons sit within a gel like harness that allows them to move and spring back. This harness is damaged, but the buttons still work, they are just not as easy as they once were to push. This is a beautiful high end audiophile CD player with original box and packaging. I hooked it up to a receiver and tested it to be working (door opens/closes, cd plays, will REW/FF tracks etc)..BUT… All of the lights stay ON on the lcd panel. Nothing changes, flickers or shows “movement” when the cd plays, every light stays on (see pics, that is exactly what it looks like while playing) As is sale.

Cosmetically, its very close to perfect. If you look closely under the right light, you can probably find some very light signs of wear but overall it looks very good condition. California Audio Labs Icon MKII CD Player. I have owned it since new in the early 90s. Unit is functional but skips occasionally. This is either fixable or not, depending on your expertise. It is cosmetically good and comes with original box, manual, and remote! Can be refurbished or used for parts. The original packaging and remote are also useful for increasing the value of refurbished units.
