Biete hier einen Bryston SP-1 Vorverstärker/Prozessor zum Kauf an! Brystons SP-1 nimmt, wie alle Vorverstärker-Prozessoren von Bryston, eine Sonderstellung im Markt ein. So verzichtete Bryston schon immer auf unnötigen Schnick-Schnack sowie Features, die man selbst in einfacheren AV-Receivern als selbstverständlich erachten würde, und fokussierte auf optimale Klangqualität. So schleppt der SP-1 keinen unnötigen Ballast, wie heute ohnehin obsolete analoge Videoeingänge oder Ähnliches mit. Dafür bietet der SP-1 analoge Ausgangsstufen in reiner Class-A-Topologie und im Analogpfad entspricht sein Aufbau 1:1 Brystons analogem Vorverstärker BP-25. Dementsprechend findet sich im analogen Audiopfad nicht ein integrierter Schaltkreis, sondern alle Schaltungen sind hübsch diskret aufgebaut, was Serienstreuung minimiert und das Timing optimiert. Im analog Bypass-Modus nutzt der SP-1 auch ausschließlich das Alps-Potentiometer, so dass nicht, wie bei vielen Heimkinokomponenten üblich eine A/D- sowie eine nachfolgende D/A-Wandlung für eine digitale Lautstärkeregelung benötigt werden, die den Klang sicherlich nicht besser machen. ;-) Mit seinen S/P-DIF Digitaleingängen (optisch und koaxial) ist der SP-1 zusätzlich auch eine digitale Vorstufe, für Mehrkanal wie für Stereo. Der angebotene SP-1 besitzt eine 19“-Front, so dass er sich auch direkt in ein 19“-Rack montieren lasst. Aber auch freistehend gibt er in 19“ eine gute Figur ab. INFORMATION: The following below information courtesy of STEREOPHILE Internal Details Just behind the rear panel is the full-width, multilayered printed circuit board that carries the D/A and analog stages. I wasnt able to get inside the chassis because I didnt have a driver that matched its Torx #8 screws; however, the BDA-1s brochure includes a clearly labeled view of the BDA-1s innards. Most of the interior is empty space, with a single ribbon cable joining the circuit board to another behind the front panel. Starting at the left of the main board are separate toroidal power transformers for the analog and digital power supplies. Nearby are multistage voltage regulation and filtering components, including electrolytic capacitors and a row of heatsunk voltage regulators. Each stage (input receiver, sample-rate converter, DAC) is independently regulated to prevent interaction and to minimize jitter. Careful trace routing is used to reduce the risk of capacitive coupling to achieve greater reduction of noise and distortion, especially for the low-voltage analog signal leaving the DAC. In the center is a Burr-Brown SRC4392 sample rate-converter chip, to the right of which is a pair of DAC chips, these 128x-oversampling 24-bit delta-sigma Cirrus CS4398s, the same as used in the BCD-1, though only one chip is used in the CD player. Finally, on the far right are four rows of components that comprise the discrete analog amplifiers output stages. Bryston describes the PCB as being constructed of double-sided epoxy glass with clearly printed component markings. All the components are surface-mount types, and high-quality, 0.1%-tolerance metal-film resistors and polystyrene capacitors are used. Soldered and other gas-tight mechanical connections are used for the signal circuits. Brystons warranty is five years for the digital circuits, including parts and labor, and 20 years for the analog circuits. Design Considerations One of Brystons primary goals for the BDA-1 was to reduce clock jitter, ie, mistimings of the digital datastream presented to the DAC. Unlike the companys BCD-1 CD player, a one-box transport and DAC, the standalone BDA-1 must reclock all signals fed to its data inputs. To maintain timing accuracy, the Bryston engineers used three different methods of maintaining accuracy and keeping jitter to a minimum: impedance-matching transformers to provide the best interface possible, reclocking the signal, and synchronously up sampling the signal. The BDA-1s Burr-Brown SRC4392 sample-rate converter provides synchronous up sampling: 32, 48, and 96 kHz data are up sampled to 192 kHz, while 44.1 and 88.2 kHz data are up sampled to 176.4 kHz. The Compact Discs 16-bit depth can be increased to 24 bits, the additional 8 bits filled with placeholder information. While this adds no new information, the conversions of the sample rate and bit depth transform the digital signal into a format that can be optimally converted into an analog signal by the DAC, says Bryston. The D/A conversion are done by a pair of Crystal CS4398 integrated-circuit chips, which feed discrete-component, class-A output amplifiers. Conclusions The Bryston BDA-1 let me enjoy the best-sounding digital playback Ive ever heard in my listening room, outshining even Brystons own BCD-1 CD player. This might be related to the fact that the BDA-1 has two Crystal CS4398s vs the BCD-1s single chip. Price: $1995-$2050 in 2010

Black 17 inch wide front panel removed from a Bryston 14B Cubed amplifier. This panel has slight damage to it as noted in the pictures. One corner is pushed in, and there are a few small scuffs. This is a 2 piece panel that includes center insert that identifies it as a 14B. Would also fit 28B amplifiers but youd need a new insert. Power switch is believed to work. These panels are about $300 when ordered directly from Bryston service department. If your panel is badly damaged, or you want to swap it to black for less money than a new panel costs, this one will be a great choice. It is known to fit 14B Cubed amplifier but may also fit SST2 and older generations, but I have no way to test or know for sure. Product is as is and not in new condition.

Though there is a display, there are no fans, no CD drives, no keyboards, no DAC circuitry, and no built-in routers to produce noise, RF interference, or heat, or to tax the players central processing unit with multitasking demands. Like a CD transport, the BDP-1s only job is to output a digital stream from its S/PDIF BNC or AES/EBU XLR outputs. The open-source Linux software was selected to ensure the BDP-1s long-term viability. The BDP-1 differs from the Auraliti L-1000 in two ways: it has AES/EBU output in addition to S/PDIF, and a front-panel display and keypad to control playback, the latter freeing the BDP-1 from the L-1000s dependence on a network.The BDP-1 accepts uncompressed AIFF and WAV music files, lossless FLAC files, and lossy-compressed formats such as MP3, stored on Windows-formatted USB drives. Near mint condition. Any specs you see in the pictures is dust etc. It is easy to see why Bryston charges $600 a piece for these when you have them in your hands. They weigh almost 9 lbs each and are beautifully made. 17 wide black face plates have an understated cool look. They fit the front of your amp perfectly. IMHO the 19 face plates (with handles) look awkward as they stick out on either side of the amp and have an outdated rack mount look. The last 2 pictures are from the internet and are not the face plates I am selling. I included these pictures for you to see how they will look on your amps.
