Their amplifiers were built by the renowned Bryston in Ontario Canada and Sonics added their front & rear panels along with input circuitry. Over the years these amps have found their way into the consumer/used market and audiophiles jump at the opportunity to own one of these legendary amplifiers. The Sonics 800X is almost identical to a Bryston 7B - they were basically rebadged with Sonics front/back plates with slightly modified circuitry for their use with IMAX systems. Unit come with new 6x30mm 150V fast-blow fuses: The 800X is set up as a monoblock amp, (two mono channels within set up in push-pull configuration) and there are no switches to change from series or parallel.
