Their amplifiers were built by the renowned Bryston in Ontario Canada and Sonics added their front & rear panels along with input circuitry. Over the years these amps have found their way into the consumer/used market and audiophiles jump at the opportunity to own one of these legendary amplifiers. While the 600X is THX certified, it is generally accepted that IMAX audio quality exceeds THX, Dolby and DTS standards in all areas. The Sonics 600X is effectively a rebadged Bryston 5B (see links below) and is a three channel power amplifier rated at 120 watts/channel RMS @ 8 Ohms and 200 watts/channel RMS @ 4 ohm.
