Like new – perfect working condition with no blemishes. Original boxes included. Bought new from an authorized dealer – ListenUp in Boulder, Colorado in October 2017. The result is a loudspeaker ideal for both high-performance stereo and surround sound applications even in larger rooms, delivering serious performance and amazing value. Serious and accurate bass performance is vital to such a room-filling speaker. That’s why the 683 features an all-new bass driver unit technology: its Dual Layer aluminium drive units are reinforced around their periphery with a second layer of aluminium. The result is a more effectively damped cone with a higher break-up frequency for a richer, distortion-free bass response. The 683 also boasts a Decoupled Double Dome tweeter and an FST Kevlar® midrange unit. Serious technology, serious performance, but seriously affordable for a speaker of this calibre.

2 x Bowers & Wilkins 683 S1 Generic Replacement Tweeter Loudspeakers Coils Foils.Always fit in pairs, that way they will look exactly the same & they will also sound exactly the same.You are buying a pair of generic replacement tweeter coils & foils (as seen on these pictures) to fit the bowers & wilkins 686, 685, 684 & 683 loudspeakers.They are a very good replacement for your old blown or dented tweeters.Dependant on when exactly your tweeters were made, these will either slot stright into place or you will find they are about 1.5mm wider that the slot for them.If they are slightly wider, then all you need to do is to put a very thin edge of superglue around the edge of your plastic tweeter surround (use the tip of a cotton bud) & then place the tweeter coil - foil in place using the magnet part of your complete unit to line it up while the glue sets.BEFORE you first open the tweeter up make sure that you mark the position of both parts of the tweeter, they slot together in a certain place & marking them before opening them will save you loads of time & agro later on.You will need the following tools to fit these.A philips screwdriver (small - medium head)A flathead screwdriver (small - medium head)A soldering iron & solder.Some superglug & a cotton bud.These replacement tweeter coils & foils can be used with many bowers & wilkins loudspeakers.You will need a steady hand, a fair degree of common sence (like do not glue into place until you have made sure it fits together correctly) & a few minutes spare time when fitting these.REMEMBER, THEY ARE VERY DELICATE, NO RETURNS ON ANY COILS - FOILS THAT YOU DAMAGE WHILST FITTING THEM.RETURNS ON BRAND NEW NOT FITTED COILS - FOILS ONLY.If you are not still not sure about fitting these, in the first instance have a look on youtube, you will be able to find videos on there showing what to do.If you still have issues, then send an email through ebay messaging to us, we will attempt to get back to you within 24hrs (we are NOT sat on the computer 24/7)FREE UK SHIPPING ON THIS ITEM.All items are sent by signed for & recorded delivery.

Grilles are missing. Multiple dents in the drivers that do not affect the sound - look at images. I have enjoyed these a lot in my art studios for about 3 years: I am not the first owner. The grilles were lost 2 years ago when my wife and I changed our workspace. The dents are from this move. The sound is perfect and if you want to audition them before buying - this can easily be arranged. There are two plinths I made from plywood (about 20 inches tall) - partially visible in the first picture.The are essentially cubes on castors I made so I can easily roll the speakers around.
