To be sure that they were performing at the top of their game, I had the tweeters serviced, the ferofluid on older tweeters tend to lose their fluidity. Tweeter coil channels were cleaned and new ferofluid added. Coils were cleaned and in in good condition and everything performing as it should! I take great pride in my stereo systems and make sure everything is performing to its fullest potential! These were missing original tweeter grills which have non-original replacements but serve the purpose for protection! Missing original jumpers on one speaker, but I fabricated replacements. The CDM1 SE is a two-way design rated at 88dB/2.83V/m sensitivity. Nominal impedance is rated at 8 ohms, going down to a minimum of 4.5 ohms. The 6½ Kevlar (woven fabric) woofer/midrange driver was redesigned for the CDM1 SE using some of the same technology B&W developed for its upmarket Matrix models. I used these as a side channel, a move and change in space requirements has necessitated switching to in-ceiling speakers. I have been very happy with the CDM1 SE; excellent clean treble and the bass response has been impressive. To be sure that they were performing at the top of their game, I had the tweeters serviced, the ferofluid on older tweeters tend to lose their fluidity. Tweeter coil channels were cleaned and new ferofluid added. Coils were cleaned and in in good condition and everything performing as it should! I take great pride in my stereo systems and make sure everything is performing to its fullest potential! These were missing original tweeter grills which have non-original replacements but serve the purpose for protection! Missing original jumpers on one speaker, but I fabricated replacements. The CDM1 SE is a two-way design rated at 88dB/2.83V/m sensitivity. Nominal impedance is rated at 8 ohms, going down to a minimum of 4.5 ohms. The 6½ Kevlar (woven fabric) woofer/midrange driver was redesigned for the CDM1 SE using some of the same technology B&W developed for its upmarket Matrix models. Notice the bullet-shaped nose cone smack in the middle of the woofers voice-coil, in lieu of a dustcap. B&W calls it a dispersion modifier. The tweeter is a 1 metal-dome unit. It sounds excellent. It's 18 1/4 inches wide 12 inches deep and 10 1/2 inches high. The replacement tweeter is titanium dome with the same characteristics and SPL as the original. You can listen to it when you pick it up because this is a pick up only
