The only reason we switched them for CCM 682s was to keep all of our speakers from the same series. - An in-ceiling speaker with 200mm Aramid mid/bass amd 25mm aluminum-dome tweeter means big, precise sound. Up for auction is a pair of used Bowers and Wilkins (B&W) CCM 683 in-ceiling speakers. Sound great. All drivers work- one speaker always works fine, the other speaker usually works fine through the speaker inputs but, occasionally, when tested, the tweeter cuts out but always works when connected directly, bypassing the crossover- just want to be upfront about it. I was going to use these as rear surrounds in my basement 7.1 system but never got around to it. Grilles are in good cosmetic condition but the mounting frames have paint overspray.
