Transients are very fast and realism is high - meaning instruments sound like the real things, not just close approximations. Works great at low, medium, and high volumes. The quick start guide is torn, but is still perfectly legible. The amplifier itself is in otherwise pristine condition. No owners manual is included, as these dont come with one. The modules are part of the Boulder modular series that predated the L3ae, L5ae, 2010, 1010 and 1012. There were a number of modules. There is the power supply module (MS01) that can power up to 4 of the other modules. There is the switch module (MS21) which has no active circuitry and simply directs inputs in the line module. There are two phono options (MS10 & MS11). The MS10 is the simplest and allows MM cartridges. The MS11 adds low cut filters and covers MM cartridges. Two MC cartridge upgrades were available for the MS10 & MS11. One is a Jensen MC step up transformer and another is a solid state gain stage that is similar to the front-end of the 2008 phono preamp. There are also two line options. One is the MS32 which has a high impedance (200K) buffered input and featured a Penny & Giles volume potentiometer. Unit is in excellent condition which you can see from photos. It's 240V version,  remote control has lost, unit comes with original packaging.  Was and is now in a non-smoking environment.  No needs much introduction I guess, one of finest Hi-end brand in the world, the best preamp I ever used, the reason for selling not because I don't like it, conversely I loved it so much and now I got chance to buy it's higher version 2110 if sold this.   Many reviews are out there, just google it, you would know how good of it . The replacement now days is over $37,000 and that model doesn't have a Phono. The 1010 Boulder has a built in MM MC phono stage. This unit has served me well and given me many hours of 2 channel delight.
