You can wire the sub for either 2 or 8 ohms by simply placing 1 or 2 fuses in the correct location on the sub. This speaker sounds fantastic, especially being the lower tier Boston Acoustics sub. This Boston Acoustics PV1000 was top of the line when I bought it new, and cost about $1,500. It was part of my home theater system until I moved and downgraded to a wireless soundbar. I kept it thinking Id use the sub again in some other system, but I just havent, so Im finally selling it. Its in excellent condition, very minor scuffs if you look closely, but nothing youd notice otherwise. Works perfectly. It has a 10 down-firing long-excursion bass driver with cast aluminum basket and is powered by a 1000 watt amplifier, creating great, clear, crisp bass. Power cable and RCA cable included. Youll need to pick it up in the East Bay CA area, or pay for shipping because it weighs about 65 pounds. Hey, good bass doesnt come light.
