NEW CURRENT MODELS HAVE A MECHANICAL RUDIMENTARY APPARATUS THAT PULLS THE CD IN WITH A MIX OF PLASTIC GEARS & A LOW VOLTAGE MOTOR, TIN & SPRINGS. THE LASER DIODE IS THE SAME, THE MORE A CD IS LISTENED TO THE MORE WEAR & DETERIORATION IS DONE TO THE DIODE. IT IS INEVITABLE PUTTING MILES ON A CAR WILL WEAR THE ENGINE AMONG OTHER PARTS, LISTING TO YOUR CD PLAYER WILL WEAR THE LASER DIODE. AT NEW, THE BOSE LASER DIODE SHOULD LAST BETWEEN 20 TO 25 YEARS. OF COURSE THAT IS DEPENDENT ON THE HOURS PLAYED LISTENING TO THE CD PLAYER, SO BUYING A WAVE FROM SOMEONE ELSE COULD JUST BE LIKE GAMBLING OR BUYING A CAR WITH A BROKEN ODOMETER. IF YOU HAVE A PORSCHE, A FERRARI, A LAMBORGHINI OR A ROLLS ROYCE YOU DONT GO TO THE LOCAL MECHANIC THAT WORKS ON EVERYTHING. Ask other sellers if they spend 3hrs cleaning, calibrating & testing their Bose Wave Radios before listing each and everyone... Ask other sellers if the CD player lens was cleaned & realigned also if the leadscrew shaft & sliders were cleaned & had fresh lithium applied... Please look at all the crevices in the radio from other sellers there should be no dust or debris anywhere on or in the unit, look through the rear grill if the seller is claiming MINT it would be fully cleaned inside (internally). Why is this important? It is because dust can cause components to prematurely overheat and shorten their life expectancy. Dust can also cause electrostatic damage because of its hydrophilic nature can form a conductive electrolyte film that can compromise the surface insulation resistance between conductors (components). All of my Bose Radios go through vigorous cleaning, lens realignment, calibrating & testing. Offered is a Bose Wave Radio CD Player and a Wave CD Changer. They both power up but Im not sure how to get them to actually work. The changer accepts cds in all 5 slots and they appear to run but I havent figured out how to get the sound on. The other unit also powers up and the cd turns. I have tried using the AM-FM stations but just get static. Im selling them as-is for repair since I cant get them to work properly.Im not sure which cables go where. Both remotes turn the units off but they dont appear to do anything else. They may need fresh batteries. Included are all of the cables, instruction manual, 2 remotes, 3 power cords and demo cd as pictured. Bose CD-2000 Series II Acoustic Wave System with AM/FM, CD, and aux input. This is the second generation manufactured in 1992 and includes the PD-2 pedestal which allows for switching between multiple aux inputs. Item is in working order with no tech or mechanical defects. There is one dent on the front grille. Otherwise works fine, antenna is straight, CD plays fine, speakers still sound new. I will not ship internationally.

2 Bose AWRCC2 Wave Music System Radio CD PlayersWhen plugged in, nothing shows on either display. I have a Bose remote for testing but it wouldnt get the units to do anything. They seem to be getting power though because when a CD is inserted the loading mechanism can be heard. But then the CD is spit back out.There was something rattling in one of them. When I took the cover off, some of the posts on the inside of the cover that the screws go into are broke. So the cover is being held on by only 3 screws instead of 5.
