The system is in amazing condition for its age, all working well (tested) and as it should. It’s good for another several years of use. In 2009/10 Bose updated their Wave 2 systems, the older ones ran from 2005-9. The Wave 2 was made until 2011. This system was made in 2011 We refurbish each system. On average each system gets about 4hrs of our time. We fix and refurbish ONLY Bose Wave systems - Nothing Else! - The time we spend on each unit is not just to clean it!! BUT first to repair the ECB board to resolve the common CD ticking issues, then to extensively test all inputs and outputs and connectivity methods, test with multiple CDs and micro adjust (up to 20 tracks), update the firmware, fix broken screw mounts on every system, polish the screen, clean and treat the case with UV protection, take pictures and advertise, test again before packing (packing a system takes up to 30m). The chances of the units getting to in a good working state are guaranteed, the the systems lasting another 5yrs a good possibility compared to all the other systems being sold here on eBay. Detailed Condition: This unit is fully refurbished in Great CONDITION, has some minor marks on the top otherwise very clean and as you would expect it has amazing sound quality. Please see the pictures as this forms part of the description and for details of any blemishes that may be visible. The Capacitors have been changed on the circuit board, resolving the CD drive ticking issue, and endless Please Wait messages. The CD drives play flawlessly, the optical drive has been serviced and the CD has been tested for 10hrs using 3 different CD’s. The remote is working 100% too. The system has been cleaned from the inside and outside thoroughly. The screen has the usual minor marks and a few scratches (as it’s the softest part of the system and easily scratches by just cleaning it over time its inevitable). The System is in Great Working Order, and I do believe you will be pleased when you see it, guaranteed - unlike some of the rubbish being sold on eBay! When new this system cost near £500. Bose Wave Model HistoryAWRCC1-7 (2005-2008) - 1st Generation of the front CD loading Music SystemBose Wave Music System - (2008-2011) - 2nd Generation, & at the end of 2009 updated hardwareBose Wave Music System iii (2012 - 2015) - Looks identical to the older Wave but with DAB+ & Wi-Fi with a PedestalBose Wave iv (2015-2022) - Like the Wave 3 but with a modern look allowing Wi Fi + Bluetooth with a Pedestal DAB Setup Process for the Bose Wave iii and iv:On the remote using the radio (FM/AM) button toggle till you see Digital (FM -> AM -> Digital) Wait a few seconds, if the DAB starts to auto scan then skip this step (auto scan will be shown on the screen and can take a few mins). Otherwise press and hold the Mute Button. Press 3 to scanBe patient it can take up to 2-3 mins - the system will do a deep scan for all stations in your area. Once complete it will store them alphabetically for you to selectUse the Next/Previous controls for the CD on the remote to go through the stored channels (sometimes they take a few seconds to start - be patient) You may need a DAB antenna for best signal results Postages / Deliveries: This Wave system will be sent out via Royal Mail Special Delivery - Next Day service No Collection Service - SorryUK Postage: Unless stated other wise the system will be sent out via Royal Mail Tracked 24 insured to £100. The units are old and not in original boxes (unless stated above that they are) for transportation but will be packed exceptionally well and no system gets damaged in transit. We send out about 30 units a month so have mastered this art. Bose 3’s up to 10 years old the wave 4 can be up to 7 years old. You are buying this system knowing this and accepting this as wear and tear due to age of materials used by the manufacturer. Some Old CDs can also be corrupt from age and sunlightSome CDs will struggle to play (old CDs or CDs with 20+ Tracks) The Optical drive is old & with age gets a little tired & unfortunately its just the way it isWe test them all with up to 20 track CDs and adjust them to accommodate this at least !!!Replacement drives are no good - weve tried nearly all of them!!!
