2 x BOSE DS16SE Pair of quality, compact loudspeakers by Bose, designed primarily for providing full-range background music. These are an installers dream as they include an optional built-in 70/100V multi-tap transformer, meaning they can be used with virtually any type of amplifier and set to individual volume levels. For domestic or low impedance use (4-8 Ohms) simply bypass the transformer using the dial and connect the speaker wires directly from your amplifier. Environmental properties mean these speakers are fully weatherproof and can be installed outside in patio areas etc. This particular pair are labelled DS16S, however both have had the drivers replaced from a DS16SE model (with the nylon surround) so now match the DS16SE models rust-proof, environmental specification (please see photos 12 & 13 showing the difference). Sleek-looking, lightweight enclosure weighs less than 1.9Kg. Dimensions approximately 12 x 25 x 16cm (with bracket). Rated at 16W RMS (64W peak) into 8 Ohms via 1 x 2.25 full-range driver, providing bass down to 80Hz. Very wide, 170 degree by 160 degree dispersion pattern, which provides lovely even coverage. One or two speakers will easily cover most domestic-sized patio areas for background music applications. Supplied with original wall brackets, cleaned, tested and ready to install.
