Bose 901 Series VI speakers,Sony STR4800SD,BOSE 901 6 Active EQ ,Tulip Stands and HARMONkardon HK40's. Here it is! All you need to get you going. Two pairs of 901 series 6. One pair is in flawless condition with only mounting holes in cabinet. The other pair are in excellent condition with only a few scratches which are not very noticeable. Both come with tulip stands. The Harmon Kardons are in excellent condition and function as they should. There is some staining on the back which appears to come from the stain used to color them. Cases have some very minor scratches and drivers are in great shape. The Sony Receiver has some very minor scratches and blemishes and is very clean. Functions as it should, however, the phono input has some humming in one channel which can likely be easily fixed. You can easily bypass the humming by using the aux input instead. The aux input works great as do the tape 1/2 and AM/FM Stereo. Only ships to lower 48 United States unless you use EBay international. The speakers: Came from 802 series 2. Feature the the cloth surrounds that will last forever. I have 4 of these, selling as a set, including the original gaskets, which are in fairly good condition, and four sets of mounting hardware from the 802s case (U nuts and screws). Please note 3 hole mounting pattern, as opposed to 4. This mounts to 802 series 2, and 901 series III,IV,V, VI. 1 ohm each.These are original from 1993 manufacture as seen on the factory stamps, they look perfect and all work The port assembly: I would rate this as fair condition, nothing is cracked, however, the assembly was hastily/poorly repaired at some point - the trim rings appear to have been “Gorilla glued” to the ports and I stopped trying to disassemble it from there. This whole unit does fit into the speaker enclosure box (I have one) and will need, I think, a bit of hot glue to hold it the tubes in place securely. There is leftover Gorilla glue to remove (I used nail polish remover to dissolve it while it was stuck in the enclosure) but note, as result, the superficial stains/drip marks on the interior of the plastic tubes as you can see on the photos. For what is worth, their repair job was solid - I had trouble removing it. I don’t know if any of the original clips would actually hold this in place without glue. The grill: Looks fairly good but the backing plastic has a hairline crack on one of the Bends/angles as shown in the close up photo. But it is still intact overall, and when it is in place, it should not matter. Or, it can be glued. The visible white material is some leftover gorilla glue that someone someone used to fasten it in place to the enclosure. When installed, the glue is not visible as it is tucked into the edges of the case.

LOCAL NJ PICKUP ONLY! I WILL NOT SHIP THESE 1978 top of the line model 901s with beautiful wood finish come with original manual and working equalizer. These are in perfect working order but need the typical and expected new surrounds installed. They have been stored for years. As you know if you love these, the foam was inferior on this particular series IV model and they all dry rotted over time. Swap out the surrounds to the new and superior cloth version and you are good to go! I have purchased a brand new set of cloth surrounds (new in bag) that I will include. There are instructional videos online showing how to do this if you need guidance, or better yet, have it done by someone with experience. Once installed properly, they will never need to be replaced again. I just dont have the time to do the labor. A previous Bose employee told me that this was the way to go, and to NOT replace the drivers completely because the newer cheap versions (that look legit and are relatively inexpensive) do not contain the same high quality parts as the originals, and you would be doing your ears a brutal disservice. I would rate these at a 9 out of 10 for condition based on their age. There are some very minor imperfections, but they do not in any way detract from the retro beauty of these. As you know, these are very unique speakers in their ability to reproduce a very real live and clean and luscious delivery of music. They need at least 100 watts to power them and can effectively handle any amount of power you throw at them. They sound absolutely fantastic when they are properly set up and paired with quality components. Grills have been removed and will need velcro tabs installed to reattach after the cloths are installed. I would not recommend using heavy duty staples, as were on there originally. They are in great shape. Again, I would say 9/10. Pedestals are in great shape also. This is a fantastic vintage original set for someone who can put in a few hours of minor labor with the surrounds. I would seriously recommend upgrading the speaker wire for these. I have an older pair of audiophile and highly detailed JPS Labs Super 2 six foot length speaker cables in near mint condition that I would consider selling as well. I was hanging on to them to pair with these. They have spade connectors, so you would need comparable spade connection options on your amp to use these. You would just have to either get custom stands, use them on a shelf, or modify the pedestals (not recommended) because this is a large fatter cable. Please inquire if interested. I am not in any hurry to move these and may just hang on to them, so dont be surprised if you are watching and not buying, and the auction is ended early.
