High quality speakers. Large magnets. Heavy. Heavy duty speakers. Rated at 40 watts at 8 ohms. Cones appear to be a rubberized material and the surrounds are a flexible rubber or polymer so I imagine these would stay vital in a damp environment (outdoors) and last long in a protected space. I believe these were originally installed as ceiling speakers in a large office complex. I have used these as a direct replacement in bookshelf stereo speakers and they have always proven far superior to the stock drivers. Really exceptional as replacements for drivers in a Bose 301. A tweeter is included in the coaxial design so if you are replacing drivers in a speaker that includes mid range or tweeter elements, you might just snip the line to the tweeter. Experiment with what works/sounds best. I had planned on using these in another medium power portable PA project - but - time. The listing price and shipping is for the pair.

For sale, A pair of the iconic 802 passive speakers. All original drivers to ensure sound quality is true. In good used condition with scuffs on the casing but nothing serious. These speakers sound like nothing else in the passive speaker market. Crisp clean bose sound with excellent projection. Speakers are protected by their own fitted hard covers. They will need brackets to pole mount but these are readily available. The screws to attach the brackets are inside the casing. These speakers are designed to be used with a bose 802 controller which is a separate purchase. They will not sound as they should without one.

This listing is for 2 very rare Bose 802 Series I speakers in 100% working condition. I only have a cover for 1 of them. What you see in the pictures is what you get. I grew up with these speakers and have used them for about 20 years. They have served me very well over the years. All 8 of the drivers in each speaker work well and are in good condition. We are only selling these because we rarely use them anymore and need more space in the shop. Will hate to see them go, but the time has come. Shoot me an offer!
