Bose 601 Series III Excellent Condition 1986. Yes, those. Made in 1986. I purchased these on the bay in approximately 2005, from the original owner. The surrounds, afaik, are the original foam, and showing no signs of rot / cracking. I cleaned / conditioned the veneer about 3 years ago. All things considered, its difficult to find a pair of 601s right now, that look this good. They are almost 40 years old, so they have some blemishes typical of a vintage speaker. However, they are very few, all things considered. They have always sat in my living room, until about a year ago. I own instruments, so they have always lived in a humidity controlled environment. I do not have the boxes. They sound fantastic, enormous. Everything is in perfect working order, all tweeters and woofers, no punched in caps, etc. Everything is original including the grille material. I always look around auctions for these, and I must say, this is one of the better pairs of 601s out there. Check out the pics! Local pickup only.

If you have broken the tweeter mounts or lost them, inquire, and Ill set up a separate transaction at reasonable cost. Besides the mounting screw, I left the wires soldered to the lugs, and cut the wires to the crossover, leaving as much length as could be provided for each tweeter. This will allow several simple, secured options for connection part of the installation. If you need a pair, I have a pair listing, also a woofer, which may remain available. Bose 601 Series II Direct Reflecting Speakers - Pair These are in nice used condition. Some minor dings to the veneer but nothing major. Some fading to the grills, but no cracking or tears. Functionally, they sound excellent. The original woofers have been reformed (done so before I acquired them and not the cleanest job on the upper woofers but sound great). The tweeters are original and in very nice condition, except for a very small dent in one of the cones of a right forward facing tweeter. Please see the pictures and video. I purchased these from an estate sale last year and have used them somewhat regularly since, but time for them to go as they are too much speaker for my needs nowadays. I will ship these to the continental USA only. I have safely shipped 601 Series IIs before and will make sure they are packaged/padded very well so they arrive to you exactly as you see them here. Here is a listing for an excellent pair of Bose, 601 series 3 stereo speakers. These speakers are in excellent working condition! Fully tested and fully functional. The walnut veneer cabinets are in great condition for their age, showing only a few light scratches and edge nicks. The speaker grills have been re-dyed because of sun fading and show a few small irregularities and one small patch as shown in the photos. None of these issues are seen from more than five or 6 feet away. Truly a very nice pair that I would rate an 8 out of 10 cosmetically. And perfect functionally. No shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or PO boxes.
