Excellent pair of Vintage Bose 601 series II, sounds amazing, cabinet’s are in near mint condition as well as the grills and fabric, normal small nicks and dings. Normally these speakers aren’t moved around a lot, so nice to see these so perfect, woofers have been professionally re-foamed and sound as if they were new, please see photos and questions welcome, pick up Only, will not ship, located 25 miles west of Washington DC , may hear at pick up. Bose 601 Series III Excellent Condition 1986. Yes, those. Made in 1986. I purchased these on the bay in approximately 2005, from the original owner. The surrounds, afaik, are the original foam, and showing no signs of rot / cracking. I cleaned / conditioned the veneer about 3 years ago. All things considered, its difficult to find a pair of 601s right now, that look this good. They are almost 40 years old, so they have some blemishes typical of a vintage speaker. However, they are very few, all things considered. They have always sat in my living room, until about a year ago. I own instruments, so they have always lived in a humidity controlled environment. I do not have the boxes. They sound fantastic, enormous. Everything is in perfect working order, all tweeters and woofers, no punched in caps, etc. Everything is original including the grille material. I always look around auctions for these, and I must say, this is one of the better pairs of 601s out there. Check out the pics! Local pickup only.

Pick up only. In as found as shown dusty and untested condition. Nothing looks broken. Some scuffs, dings and missing veneer on the bottom underside edge. Overall these look like they will clean up nicely. 29 1/2 tall x 14 wide x 13 deep. Pick up only in zip 81004 southern colorado. See photos and check out the other old stuff I have listed.

The name says it all. Bose speakers are renown for the quality of sound. I am the original owner, bought them brand new and now unfortunately I must sell. They dont fit into my suitcase. Sadly they are for sale. There are others listed, but mine are pristine No tears in material or speakers. Heck, you dont even see the lines of the frame through the speaker material. Vintage 1986 BOSE 601 Series III Direct/Reflecting Speakers Tested Working. Good Pre-Owned Condition. The speakers are dusty from sitting unused for years (see pictures). Theyve been tested and they both work and sound great. Comes with the original Bose Warranty papers. One of the speakers lining covers is slightly torn on the bottom (see pictures). The machine type screw that threads through the angled molded plastic tweeter mount into the back of the magnet is provided, so thats usually all thats possibly needed to allow mounting. If you have broken the tweeter mounts or lost them, inquire, and Ill set up a separate transaction at reasonable cost. Besides the mounting screw, I left the wires soldered to the lugs, and cut the wires to the crossover, leaving as much length as could be provided for each tweeter. This will allow several simple, secured options for connection part of the installation. If you need a pair, I have a pair listing, also a woofer, which may remain available. Prompt, insured shipment will be provided at cost calculated by ebay for economical USPS Ground Advantage shipment to your delivery address.
