Bose 601 Series III Excellent Condition 1986. Yes, those. Made in 1986. I purchased these on the bay in approximately 2005, from the original owner. The surrounds, afaik, are the original foam, and showing no signs of rot / cracking. I cleaned / conditioned the veneer about 3 years ago. All things considered, its difficult to find a pair of 601s right now, that look this good. They are almost 40 years old, so they have some blemishes typical of a vintage speaker. However, they are very few, all things considered. They have always sat in my living room, until about a year ago. I own instruments, so they have always lived in a humidity controlled environment. I do not have the boxes. They sound fantastic, enormous. Everything is in perfect working order, all tweeters and woofers, no punched in caps, etc. Everything is original including the grille material. I always look around auctions for these, and I must say, this is one of the better pairs of 601s out there. Check out the pics! Local pickup only.

They not sound amazing!! One cannot go wrong with Bose and this vintage look is just awesome!! I believe that someone painted and had some pain on hands and got a little on speaker side. Also, I took off speakers so you can clearly see year of them. Thanks

The name says it all. Bose speakers are renown for the quality of sound. I am the original owner, bought them brand new and now unfortunately I must sell. They dont fit into my suitcase.
