BOSE WALNUT 301 SERIES III DIRECT REFLECTING SPEAKERS. Normal wear on the cabinets is minor light scratches. There are a few corners that arent as square as new they have a very small bit of damage from being bumped on something. The right speaker cabinet has a crack from the front edge angled to the right side. It is a very fine crack and hardly noticeable unless close. May be able to repair it. It definitely doesnt affect the overall performance and sound. The grills are in excellent shape with no holes or snags. The original gold toned bose badges are present in excellent condition. All the components are excellent condition with no issues at all. These have the more desirable woofers (Mexico, not Canada). Ive tried to be as honest as possible with the description and will be adding more photos as soon as I make time to do so. I am marking each part with an invisible to the naked eye a flouresant mark, which can only be noticeable with the use of a specific light. I do this to prevent fraud by removing good parts and replacing them with non functional ones and then wanting a refund. I will take photos of the marks before I list as proof of what I am actually selling. For a small box, the 301 III series can deliver a whopping 150 watts. They are good for those who have limited space. I paid $435.00 for these 32 years ago in 1991. I am downsizing and its time fo say farewell to these old friends. Bose was famous for their quality and tight tolerances and these speakers are true to that ethos. The crossovers have been matched to each set of drivers for every speaker which gives an extremely tight tolerance of .5 % which is the reason for their famous ruler flat frequency response. These have matching pair numbers 99511, as they were selected by Bose to match perfectly. I have never driven them with anything approaching 150 watts and they are acoustically pristine. The black housings show evidence of several moves, and a few corners have busted edfes as wekk as some few drops of paint from an old remodel.
