These Bose 301 Series III speakers were purchased new by my Grandmother as a Christmas gift for my Grandfather in 1994. I was 11 years old when he installed them in his study on the day after Christmas, 12/26/94. They remained there until I inherited them about five years ago, and have been in my climate controlled storage unit ever since. I am currently downsizing, selling off items that I most likely will not use. The speakers are in very good condition and produce great sound. Cosmetically, they look great, with only the typical scuffs on the unseen bottom that speakers receive over thirty years, and a few extremely minor (basically unnoticeable) imperfections on the edges. These are nicer than 95% of the 301’s you’ll find. They have not been abused at all, and were very lightly used over the first 25 years, and not at all over the last 5 years until I removed them from storage today to clean them up (dust) and to hook them up and test them out.
