Bob Carver Sunfire True Subwoofer Super Junior. 8” 1500 watt in Rosewood finish. I believe it is circa 2006, that’s the newest date I could find inside the cabinet. This item is technically working; though I’m listing it as “ for parts or repair” because it should be repaired to be back to its former glory. The rosewood cabinet is in beautiful condition. There are fine scratches that could buff out. There are no major blemishes on the cabinet. It is missing both the front and rear grills. The unit works, but there has always been a slight hum at low volumes ever since I’ve owned it. It has sat for a long time not used in my sun/theater room. Unfortunately in direct sunlight. Just recently I noticed the surround on the active woofer has split ( likely from the direct sunlight). The caps to me look like they have never been serviced but I’m not 100% sure. I’ve always loved this little subwoofer and if it doesn’t sell I’ll likely just have it repaired and keep it forever. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Subwoofer powers on. I am not an AV expert or audiophile, but to test functionality, I have connected the subwoofer to my laptop via a 3.5mm mini jack to the subwoofer’s left mono RCA input. The subwoofer played sounds using a YouTube subwoofer test loudly and deeply. The subwoofer did not rattle or hum. I cannot warranty that the subwoofer is in perfect working condition given its age. If other testing is requested, happy to work with you - just message me. The subwoofer is an 11” cube. Original owner. Smoke-free home. The exterior is in excellent condition. The male end of the power cord has been replaced. My family purchased this new about 20 years ago, but it went unused for the last 16 years. This unit is in great shape. All channels tested and working as they should. The only flaw is that the display light is burned out. Of course does not affect performance at all.
