It has now come up for sale for spares or repair, as we do not have a Betamax tape to test it. On powering up everything lights up OK and it may still work.The 9300 was the 2nd Betamax VCR from Sanyo to be introduced into the UK. (The 9100 was the 1st in 1977). It is one of the so called piano key early models. It was a very advanced VCR in its day.It has a tape counter displayed on the LCD. You are able to switch the display between the clock and the counter by pressing a button. The unit also came with a one button wired remote. This could be used to pause playback and recording. It also had a one event timer. Vintage Sanyo Betacord VCR. Tested and it works. I had to adjust the tracking (as with many of the vcrs back in the day) to get a clear picture. In the 1st pic thats a tape of the 1994 winter Olympics playing.

Vintage SANYO 4670 BETACORD BETAMAX VCR Tested. I have tested this with a home recorded tape. there is some snow but you can still see and hear the picture. Im not sure if it is from the tape or if the heads need to be cleaned. It also comes with three blank tapes also. One tape is still factory sealed. I am selling it as works needs to be cleaned. As can be understood this is a hard time for us and we would like an as hassle free sale as possible so this is listed as for parts or not working and for no returns accepted on this item. Please see the video attached (I found an old tape with family movies on which i wont include for sentimental reasons) and it appears to playback albeit I have nothing capable of displaying the image etc) It doesnt seem to like rewinding so I would strongly suggest service etc in any case but good to show that it as least trying to do something and not completely dead etc. Has been stored in the downstairs cupboard at my parents since late 80s and is in pretty good condition for age etc. SOLD STRICTLY AS SPARES OR REPAIR.
