Nach dem Einschalten dauert ein paar Gedenksekunden, dann schaltet diese Endstufe durch und ist Spielbereit. Selbst an meinen Elektrostaten arbeitet diese Endstufe Souverän. Optisch nach wie vor ein Eyecatcher.Dieser Verstärker wurde nur in einen sehr kurzen Zeitraum produziert. Da die Schaltungstechnik (Netzteil in „magnetischer Feld“ bauweise konzipiert X-Technik) etwas zu stark an die patentierte Technik von renoomierten amerikanischen Herstellern Carver Würfel erinnerte, musste Yamaha dieses Gerät wieder vom Markt nehmen und die Produktion einstellen.
