Sharp minidisc players are knows for not working properly because the lasers plastic gear wheel will crack and skip, thats why dont buy sharp minidisc players unless the seller restores them, even if they work, they wont last long once you start using them, even if you dont use them, the plastic wheel will still shrink and crack with age, i have seen many brand new ones in the box not working because the wheel has cracked from age.
