Description
If you have arrived at these speakers then you know. Nothing else can I say other than perfection. I used these with a high pass sub and it was amazing. I received an offer I could not refuse on B&W Diamond II so I bought them, leaving me these. You can see the value of what I paid for the Diamond II if you look them up. Between the SCM and the Diamond II there is no difference in the midrange. Boy Th midrange components look the same. The eyeball tweeters are not the same but the Diamond II are at most 20% better. The base is hugely different as expected. The Diamond II are much bigger and have woofers. I guess I could say that the tweeters are 20% better and the midrange is the same. I paid thousands for the Diamond II and looking back I wish I didn’t and just kept the SCM’s. They need a base woofer but my sub with high band pass filled in. The SCM’s sound too much the same as the Diamond II to justify the difference. These belong on speaker stands. I was just about to order some. They are heavy for their size. Terminal connectors are very heavy duty. The sound stage and timber are amazing. U can crank these up when u are feeling in the mood. I used 150 wpc Cambridge 851a and I could easily drive them at 80 /100. They are not fatiguing as all B&W don’t have harsh tweeter sound. I really liked these. You will be too. They are entry level audiophile. I would recommend any B&W and I especially recommend these. The last ones of this color sold on ebay pretty quickly for $1,000. You can check in the completed listing section. I do not have original boxes but B&W sells them and I can have a UPS store double box and insure them. Ebay makes put buy it now price 30% higher. I will sell these for $1,000 Not a penny less though. They are worth it. No other pair of speakers for $1,000 will sound this good. I previewed many at The Music Room near Boulder, CO
