B&W HTM center channel speaker in great condition with upgraded crossover and custom bi-wire jumper. Original box. Im selling because this speaker was just swapped out of my HT system for a 3-way HTM3. The HTM works great, but I wanted a bit more bass. The tweeter on my new HTM3 speaker does not sound as live as this Matrix HTM with the new caps, so I need to get those caps changed as well. I will also include a set of Dynaudio stock jumpers for those that are suspicious of my improved jumpers, which are far superior. Only one minor defect in the HTM, small chip in the finish - see photo. The crossover capacitors for the tweeter were professionally replaced by Empirical Audio with Audience Auricap XO series, which are the highest rated caps that will actually fit in there and not compromise the inner box volume. These Auricaps were found to be equivalent in performance to Mundorf MCap Supreme Silver Gold Classic 1200VDC, which is too large to fit and a LOT more expensive. I show photos of the old caps and the two new caps. The original caps will be in the box. These made a big difference in the clarity and dispersion of the tweeter. Highly recommended tweak. I also include custom Bi-Wire jumpers using twisted pairs of silver-plated copper solid-core wire, Teflon insulated. These also make a huge difference. The jumpers alone are worth $30-40. Stock jumpers were junk, sounded terrible. The caps will cost you $100 for parts if you purchase them for another speaker, not including installation. This is probably the best sounding Matrix HTM you will find on Ebay.
