Sie können z.B. einen Röhrenverstärker und einen Transistorverstärker wahlweise an denselben Boxen betreiben. Dabei ist das Umschalten ohne jegliche Beeinträchtigung der empfindlichen Elektronik möglich. Sehr interessant auch zum Klangvergleich unterschiedlicher Verstärker.
