Description+++ This is a Marantz CD player CD5001, manufactured in 2006. It has an aluminum hairline finish with a design that matches the PM4001 and other pre-main amplifiers of the same period. This D/A converter uses Cirrus Logics CS4392 and is capable of 192kHz/24bit. Analog and digital coaxial outputs are gold-plated terminals. The pickups were recently replaced with new ones and are in good condition. Sound quality is also good. The paint on the top panel is a little dull, but there are no noticeable scratches on the front panel, and the operation buttons do not show any signs of use. This is an absolutely amazing D/A converter. It’s the most analog sounding I’ve ever heard. Look up the reviews online! Everyone raves about this DAC. I bought it just over a year ago from The Music Room. It comes with the original box, additional exterior box, original power cord, and upgraded fuse. There are two relatively minor marks, they are pointed out in the pictures. If you have any questions, just ask! This will be shipped. FedEx insured with signature required. This is a great DAC that can also be used as a preamp. It is 192K 24bit DAC with all the inputs you could possibly use. Inputs include: I2S, AES/EBU, TOSLINK (2), COAX (2), and USB. The output can be fixed or variable. It has both Balanced and Unbalanced outputs. The DAC 2 works and sounds great. The only issue is that one of the 12v triggers does not work. The other works fine. I am sure you know about these great dacs if you are looking for something called Schitt... You can see the three inputs on the back that include a USB, coaxial, and an optical. This dac functions as it should and is in excellent condition. I have included an extra long power cord and some good RCA interconnects.
