AUDIO-TECHNICA OC9ML/II Moving Coil Cartridge in Original Box, Used. I have a high-end audio set-up and am selling off some of my components and cartridges - only to fund some more purchases! Here’s my superb Audio-Technica OC9ML/II moving-coil cartridge,complete with original box, A-T performance measurement chart and copy Instruction/Spec Sheet. The perspex box has a crack but is fully intact. The OC9ML/II is a sought-after classic cartridge and is coveted by audiophiles as a top-performing ‘keeper’. Current incarnations of this top-of-the-range A-T model cost £500-£600 new and this is a competitive used auction offer. It’s only been used on my Roksan Xerxes 20 Plus turntable -it’s a wonderful performer as you’d expect on a good turntable with A-T’s excellent Born-mounted Micro-Line stylus. Sweet treble, full-range wide soundstage and great trackability are the hallmarks of this highly-reviewed cartridge. I set it tracking at approx. 1.9 grams into my Roksan Caspian VSC phono stage for a year or so of moderate usage – it’s been greatly enjoyed and matches anything I’ve used on the Roksan, upon which I’ve used several other A-T, Denon and Goldring MC and MM cartridges over recent years. The stylus should have life left in it whilst it will need re-tipping at some stage. Be aware it is a very fine Micro-Line stylus assembly so care is required in set-up and use! If I didn’t have alternative A-T MC and other great cartridges for my turntable, I would have sought to investigate re-tipping specialists to prolong my enjoyment of this beauty.
