I have for sale some (one of a kind) Audio Research gold plated knobs. The knobs are from the estate of an Audio Research employee who was a friend of mine. These are (new old stock) knobs that were in storage for a number of years and have never been installed in equipment before. The overall condition of the knobs is excellent. The knobs will fit any Audio Research preamplifier that starts with an SP. Such as the SP-4, SP-5, SP-7, SP-6, SP-8, SP-9, SP-10, SP-11, SP-12 SP-14, SP-15. Some older Audio Research amplifiers also used this traditional styled knob, so they will work on those amplifiers too. Note: The knobs will not fit the Audio Research LS series of line stage preamplifiers. My ad is for 4 knobs as pictured...if you need more than 4 knobs, please email me. One thing worth mentioning...the knobs have a shiny gold surface, so its very hard to get a good picture of one knob or a group of knobs. The pictures have dark lines/shadows and distortions in them which are not present in the knobs. Audio Research ARC SP-16 Tube preamplifier W Remote. I purchased this tube preamplifier about two months ago, and it was only used for a few hours in my system. This preamplifier does have a tube phono section as well as a tube line level section. The tubes in the photo section are the stock electro harmonix 12ax7’s. I did swap the tubes in the line level section to some used NOS,RCA Tubes. Two of those tubes are 12ax7’s and one is a 5751. I would describe the sound as extremely clean and pristine. But I wouldn’t describe the sound is overly tube like. I would rate the condition at a 7/10. A few minor scratches is all. No returns and shipping to the US continental only!

Audio Research LS1 Stereo Preamplifier, Audiophile. Brand new in box never used before!

AUDIO RESEARCH SP8 VALVE PREAMPLIFIER This does power up but it emit’s a buzz through the speakers on both channels. I’m pretty sure the valve’s are in the wrong place as they don’t heat up. Also the chassis shorting pin is missing this won’t help with the buzzing. This did work a long time ago but has sat in storage for years now. Also the top lid is missing I have looked but can’t find it unfortunately. It’s in decent condition apart from what looks like glue on the front panel. Please see pictures for condition.
