I am selling an Audio GD R2R-11 non-oversampling resistor to resistor ladder DAC / headphone amplifier / preamplifier in great condition. This dac provides the smooth musical sound NOS dacs are know for, and has tons of functionality. I used it mainly as a dac / preamp in my main system for several years; until I recently upgraded to a Audio GD R28. This R2R-11 dac is a true giant killer and is still one of the most organic and enjoyable sources I have ever heard. I also used it occasionally to drive a pair of HiFiman HE-560s and it complimented them very well. I hate to see this dac sitting, and I know it will be a great joy to its next owner.

Bought this in late May, and it arrived literally the night before we left for a 2 week vacation, so I missed my 15-day period to return it. I love it! It sounds superb and Ill get to that more in a minute. In short, I bought one of the Yggdrasil GS+ units hoping the older analogue card would sound great. It did, but I have Klipsch RF-7 IIIs and I was hoping to tame a bit of the forwardness of those Klipsch with a warmer Less is More Upgrade. It did, but then I learned this wont read DSD, and I have a ton of those downloads, so I opted for the PS Audio StellarGold DAC instead. It has a few more features, but in my A/B level matched (closely so using my real SPL meter) it was a really difficult call to say which sounded better. At about 2/3 the price, the Yggdrasil did just fine and if I were being honest, what really decided it for me was that the PS AUdio stellargold chassis matched my StellarGold preamp. SO Im keeping it. But honestly, the Schiit sounds just as good. Its in perfect condition and I listed this as open box because I literally have used it no more than about 15 minutes to test against the PS Audio. I have ALL of the original unused accessories, manual, all packaging. It really is like new. Also, it has the upgrade option of the Unisom USB. So thats the Yggdrasil + Less is More with Unisom USB. Includes all original accessories and packaging including remote, power cable, owners manual. That retails new for $2299, so a great chance to get a fine unit and save big. Good luck bidding. CMC pure copper RCA sockets ect. 3 channels digital input : coaxial / Optical / USB DAC output : RCA (User can setting with either variable level as DAC with preamp combo or fixed output level as dedicated DAC ) Headphone output : 6.3MM SE The NFB-11 applies the newest ESS high-end Sabre32 DA chip ES9028 which can support up to 32Bit/384KHz input . To be achieve the best performance of ES9028 , must work in current output mode. in voltage output model, there is -12DB THD+N loss . The standard current model design usually need 3 amps (OPA) , the first amp implements I/V conversion, the ES9028 output current signal to voltage signal . The second amp is responsible for conversion balanced signal ,to single-ended signal and implement the low pass analog filter , then go through the volume control fed to the third amp, (the headphone amp ). Every amp usually have two gain stages built in to the ES9028 chip . Signal must go through total of 6 gain stages and finally arrive at the output stage. The NFB-11 applies Non-feedback ACSS design. The ES9028 feed to the ACSS circuit without any OPAs . The ACSS circuit naturally working in current mode . The ACSS amp only have one current gain stage , the ES9028 output signal only goes through one stage . The shortest signal path can reproduce the best detail and dynamics almost without any sound coloration .It showes the real performance of the ES9028 dac. So our ACSS design is the best combo with ES9028 to achieve the best performance .
