Hi. This hi-fi demagnetizer was available for many years before being discontinued. There were 2 types, this one and a second version (black exorcist) designed specifically for cartridge phono inputs; this version was designed to be plugged into a standard stereo line level input. There are some reviews online, some professional and some user reviews/opinions in various audio forums; some swear by it and some say it had a minimal effect. In my opinion and system it made a decent improvement when I first used it, smoother, sweeter with more musical expression. If you use it before every listening session like I did, it will help keep your system tip top. Only selling because Ive recently bought several audio enhancement CDs which do more or less the same thing but which have the advantage of being able to leave on repeat. Also Im trying to declutter my system. Please do some research before bidding because returns are not accepted. If my memory serves me correctly this cost 250. - 300. Before it was discontinued, but prices obviously varied considerably. Its in perfect condition as shown in the pics which are of the actual item being sold. For good measure Ill include the basic cable which I purchased separately. The 9v battery last for years and I bought the battery about a year ago so should have plenty off life left in it.
