Amazing matched pair of Audience 5 speakers from Dynaudio, made in Denmark. Long discontinued. Cabinets have various marks as seen in the photos but being black they hide it well. One of the cones has a small mark where some previous owner had a candle on the top and the wax dripped down the front, Ive cleaned it all off but it has left a tiny mark on the speaker, Dosnt affect its performance in any way. Please study the last picture for this. Tested on my system which is a QED 240A amp running a Arcam Alpha 7se CD player & QED speaker cable.Tested first with Metallica Kill them all at a very high volume. sounded fantastic very heavy no distortion, drums bass guitar and vocal all sounded brilliant. Next up was Ozric Tentacles Erpland at high volume. Again an amazing and clear sound, everything balanced and sounding natural.Finished off with Dave Brubeck Quartet Take Five at normal volume, this all time classic sounding as good as ive ever heard it. So there you have it a fantastic pair of Danish speakers, cabinets are a bit worn at close inspection but look ok from a couple of feet away. They sound great as good as anything ive tried, better than my Kef 101s on the rock stuff for sure. Please study all of the photographs very carefully as ive tried to include the marks to the cabinets and the wax mark on the speaker (last photo). They also contain the measurements.
