Audeze LCD 2 to LCD 3 Custom Conversion Bamboo New Headband/Pads. These came about as I had a set of LCD-2s that had a driver failure (see my other items, Im selling the original driver) about 2 years ago. Rather than selling these at the time for parts (Audeze will charge £630 per side for a driver I was told at the time), I bought a pair of LCD-3s (dating to 2017 so including fazors) that had damaged wooden cups, and transplanted the foam backing and matched set of drivers into the bamboo cups from my original LCD-2 chassis, using leaded solder for the driver connection. The result is that these have the LCD 3 sound, in a LCD 2 cups. You can see the different number magnets in the imagr showing the inside of the cup vs a standard LCD 2 (8x from an LCD 3, 6x from an LCD 2). Since then, I have also replaced the pads and the headband with new at a cost of £190. Im also including the original headband, however the new suspension style one is far better.
