LP12 Period Ariston Audio RD11 record deck with Rega RB250 arm. This is one of the earlier LP12 type Ariston RD11 turntables. I believe it is early 70s before the design changes were made. It has the original machined inner plater bearing, pre ball bearing. It has a Rega RB250 fitted with VTA adjuster ( Not pictured but supplied) as Rega arms require this when fitted to LP12s. It has an acrylic arm board which tightens up the sound. The top plate looks to have drilled for a Linn sub chassis at some point (see pics) but this doesn’t affect the sound. I have included a 45 adjuster (I can’t get it to fit, maybe someone can work it out by changing the 33 rpm rotor around). You can fit a Hercules to these turntables as a direct upgrade if you desire! It spins as nicely at 33 as my LP12 and runs smooth. I’ve disengaged the belt feed as I find it rubs sometimes but can re-engage it if needed. It’s a great deck that is a piece of history in its own right and a great launching pad for the endless upgrade world of the LP12. International postage available.

Ariston Q Deck Turntable in very good condition. I purchased this new, I think in the late 80s but stopped using it after a couple of years when CDs came along. I do recall buying a new Ortofon OMB 5E cartridge, but stopped playing records shortly afterwards. Overall it has had very little use. I tested it just before placing this advert and it worked perfectly. The belt still did its job, but it might not be a bad idea to buy a new one from Amazon at around £8.50, as its the original belt. The black base and arm are all in excellent condition. The lid doesnt have any chips or cracks, but there are inevitably some scratches on it. There are good acrylic polishes you can buy if you wanted to improve the look of it. Please dont make any offers on the deck. I shall let the auction run. Email if you have any questions. I will box it up as carefully as I can and it should travel OK, but I obviously cant be responsible for any damage in transit. However, I will pack it really well, so it should be fine. Its survived several house moves without difficulty.

Selling my record collection (see my other listings), hence I figured I should sell the record deck too ! Obviously Ariston are a top quality make from back in the 80s. The stylus in the ortofon cartidge was damaged, so Ive replaced it with a brank new Dreher & Kauf stylus unit, which works well (see last photo). The old stylus also included for reference shouldl you wish to buy an identical replacement. The deck is in generally good condition, but has no lid, and there is a slight raising of the finish behind where the arm comes up. The platter is removed easily to allow speed change from 33 to 45. A felt record matt is included.. also a heavy rubber one, but you will need to adjust the springs if you wish to use this, as it causes the suspension system to sit much lower due to the weight. This is a moving magnet cartidge, so needs to plug into an amp with a proper phono input. Collection most welcome (KT3 postcode) and I can demo it, but postage also fine . As its heavy and somewhat fragile, itll be £15 to pack and ship (UK only).
