Ariston Audio RD11s transcription record deck / SME 3009 arm / A&R Cambridge cartridge. I bought this unit in 1974 as I couldnt afford a Linn Sondeck, which turns out to have been made in the same factory and is virtually identical! I do not currently have a phono compatible pre-amp to check output - but it worked perfectly before I put it into careful storage. The unit comes with original manufacturers booklet and SME booklet which the purchaser may need to re-set up the arm and cartridge. I hope the photos show the condition of the unit which overall I would describe as good. It comes with an anti-rumble rubber turntable mat and good quality phono plugs/earth lead. I noticed preparing the deck for sale that a machine screw on one of the hinges is missing. ARISTON ACOUSTICS CDX – 720 Compact Disc Player - Superb Audio Quality - WORKING In Great Condition Fully Tested and Working See Photos

Selling my record collection (see my other listings), hence I figured I should sell the record deck too ! Obviously Ariston are a top quality make from back in the 80s. The stylus in the ortofon cartidge was damaged, so Ive replaced it with a brank new Dreher & Kauf stylus unit, which works well (see last photo). The old stylus also included for reference shouldl you wish to buy an identical replacement. The deck is in generally good condition, but has no lid, and there is a slight raising of the finish behind where the arm comes up. The platter is removed easily to allow speed change from 33 to 45. A felt record matt is included.. also a heavy rubber one, but you will need to adjust the springs if you wish to use this, as it causes the suspension system to sit much lower due to the weight. This is a moving magnet cartidge, so needs to plug into an amp with a proper phono input. Collection most welcome (KT3 postcode) and I can demo it, but postage also fine . As its heavy and somewhat fragile, itll be £15 to pack and ship (UK only).
