I am the second owner, where this was used in an audiophile setup free from children, pets, smoke, or other electronic dangers…it was lovingly enjoyed and cared for over the past 1.5 years. Barely used Ares II purchased directly from vinshine audio in 7/21. This DAC was in my 2nd system and barely used (maybe 2-3 months?). This is because I liked the sound so much I purchased a Pontus II and then a Terminator. So the Ares II has been sitting in a box in my closet for quite awhile. I need to clear out space for new equipment (you know how it goes!). It functions flawlessly and there are no notable scratches. Sounds great! I will include an AC power cord upon buyer request.

I have for sale a gently used and wonderfully functional Denafrips Ares II. It works exactly as designed and sounds great. I will transfer the remainder of the 3 year factory warranty (21 months left) to the new owner by emailing Vinshine (per their process). That way you have piece of mind with your purchase. Denafrips has a service center in Buda, TX should you need to exercise the warranty. I have successfully updated the firmware on this unit twice now. The first time was from the original factory firmware to the 12th Anniversary firmware, then again to a revised version of the 12th Anniversary firmware with improved midrange and bass performance (most recent firmware release). I am only selling this Ares II due to a recent upgrade to a Pontus II. Denafrips DACs are awesome. I am not accepting returns with this DAC as the warranty is only transferable one time.
