I can’t see any output on/off so I assume they are on all of the time but no sound came out when connected to an amplifier. The CD load tray all works without fault as does the display. Sold as parts only in need of a repair.

Ive owned this unit from new in about 2000, but havent now used it for about four years. The overall condition is good. All the original packaging is present, as can be seen in the photos. Im selling as spares or repair for the following reasons: Over the years, the backlights for the display failed one at a time. I believe there are three, and I used it with only one of them working for years. I think the last one may have failed before I last used it. Occasionally it would struggle to find the beginning of track one, seemingly hunting around all over the disc indefinitely. Pressing stop and then pressing play again usually cleared this problem, which got more frequent over the years but still only occasional. The remote control has had a battery leak (mostly cleaned up) and the finish is coming off the front (as can be seen in the photos). I rarely used the remote control anyway, and the unit doesnt require the remote control to function. I suspect a clean of the mechanism and some replacement bulbs/LEDs for the backlight could make this a perfectly functioning unit again and provide many more years of service.
