Arcam FMJ A38 amplifier with remote (not pictured). This amp was perfect for years and had little use but suddenly developed a fault and needs to be repaired. It started to make odd noises through the speakers (like sine waves and deep bass) and now the screen also flickers when its on (see photo) so I just stopped using it and bought a replacement. I had a quote from Arcam for something like £300 to have a look and try and repair it a few years ago but I cannot remember exactly how much they quoted. Not much to say really - this was a highly acclaimed piece of equipment that was £1800 new that I loved for years and would be great to see it go to a good home to be fixed and used again. I wanted to try myself but the reality is that I dont have the time. I will courier this but at the buyers risk. I think better to collect really from Harborne, Birmingham.
