On offer is this superb Arcam FMJ AV8 pre amp/processor with original remote control and instruction manual, and also including a set of 6 RCA phono cables to connect to a multi channel music source or multi channel power amplifier. I have been using this lovely AV8 as a fantastic sounding stereo 2 channel pre amp for the last year or two but it is obviously a fully functional A/V pre amp from yesteryear too. Hugely expensive in its day but lacking some of the bells and whistles of a modern pre/processor, such as no HDMI connections and only supporting older digitally connected surround sound formats such as Dolby Digital Pro Logic II and DTS:ES, this doesnt prevent it from still being a superb sounding unit especially if you have multi analogue RCA outputs from your movie source. When still using it for multi channel music and movies, I used the multi analogue outputs from my Sony Blu Ray player into the 5.1 analogue inputs of the AV8, and then output via the 5.1 analogue outputs to a 6 channel power amplifier, with superb results. I simplified our movie set up a while ago though and have just been using it via 2 channel connections recently for both music and movies, and it still sounds great like that. It is, as I hope the photos show, in excellent cosmetic condition, with a few light scuffs (mainly on the top cover which arent seen in normal use) but nothing horrendous or especially obvious. I have taken a number of enlargeable photos from all angles so you can see for yourself what great condition it is in, please have a good look at them to satisfy yourself of its condition. I have also included a couple to show it powered on with the display clearly visible, so you can see that it is functional too. I no longer have the original box and packaging for this and I have no way of packing it up for transit, so it is being offered on a strictly personal collection only basis with no courier collections or deliveries of any sort available. I may be able to deliver locally for the cost of my fuel if you are not too far away, but please get in touch before buying to see if this is possible. Hello. I have for sale my Arcam FMJ A29 Stereo Integrated Amplifier. I have owned it from new and kept it in excellent condition. It has brought me a lot of joy and performed beautifully with a pair of large floorstanders. It has also accommodated a subwoofer through the pre-out. This is a brilliant amp which sounds great at low volumes as well as higher. It retailed at over £1000 when new. Comes with power lead and original remote. There is a well-documented issue with relays on this model. I have had these replaced by Arcam to avoid any problems. Due to this, the amp is in a generic Arcam box, rather than the original (for some reason they changed the box on return). There is a very small mark on the top of the fascia (see photo), but this is hardly noticeable. I am only selling due to an upgrade, so grab yourself a bargain. You’re getting a lot of amp for the money. More than happy to demo on collection.If you would like it posted, it will cost £18.45 due to the weight and value.. Thanks for your interest.
