This is a used Arcam DV79 CD & DVD player that DOES NOT work properly. It plays CDs (see photos #5 & 6), but not DVDs. It is cosmetically in good condition, but has a few marks on the top. please review all photos. When a DVD movie is inserted, the screen displays LOAD and after a few seconds BAD DISC appears or sometimes No DISC, even though the same DVDs are playable with other DVD players (see photos #7, 8 & 9). I used it only as a CD player on my test station until I decided to now sell it. This is when I tried the DVD function and discovered it does work. I never had the remote, so I am unable to dig into the menu settings. Here is a really nice Arcam CD 72 CD in excellent condition. It only has very minor on the top of the case showings its age (has been in a stack) plays beautifully with no issues. It comes with its original Arcam CR314 remote control, also in excellent condition (hasnt gone yellow), along with the original owner’s manual also included is the UK plugged power chord. (no original box but will be well packed for shipping) The CD72 is a wo,nderful sounding CD player with performance equal to players of its day costing twice as much. The latest generation 24 bit DAC from Burr Brown and a main motherboard, incorporating the latest thinking on grounding and power supplies, provided the player with a sound that captivates all who listen.
