MORE PICTURES TO COME. Teledyne Acoustic Research AR38s Vintage Hi-Fi Speakers. Ive had these for a few years now, I put new surrounds on them and they work great. I think theyre in really good condition for their age, not without a bit of wear and tear. I seemed to have used a bit much glue as you can see around the woofers but theyre in fully working order. Purely cosmetic. The only real issue is one broken spring clip on the rear of one speaker. You can shove a cable in the hole, I did mean to put new terminations on but I havent got the time anymore, it was a tail end of lockdown project and I need to move them on. Too many speakers, not enough space! Well made speakers producing a detailed sound with more than adequate punch thanks to the 10 inch driver, best paired with period equipment. Original cloth covers are included, also in great shape with very minor discolouration. Collection only on these, I dont want them damaged.

NOTE - the hinged flap that covers the tone controls is missing.  The tone defeat button does not work.

Die Boxen enstammen einer Haushaltsauflösung, und dürften in den Jahren 1967 bis 89 produziert worden sein (jedenfalls war Acoustic Research in dieser Zeit im Besitz von Teledyne). Das Haus wurde Anfang der 70er gebaut - die Boxen wurden wohl damals angeschafft. Der Korpus besteht aus braunem Holz, mit einer aufgesteckten, schwarzen Abdeckung (wirkt auf den Fotos lila, ist aber tatsächlich schwarz). Abmessungen: Höhe 45,4cm, Breite 28,8cm, Tiefe 19,6cm. Die Lautpsrecher waren noch angeschlossen, und haben auch prinzipiell funktioniert. Jedoch war der Klang fürchterlich, was angesichts des Zustands der Tieftöner auch kein Wunder ist. Geeignet also nur für jemanden, der diese Teile erneuern möchte. Verkauf mithin als defektes Bastlerobjekt. Versandkosten 20,-.

Acoustic Research Teledyne Speakers Model 19B Need Refoaming - Cabinets Superb. Cabinets and grilles are near perfect. The tweeters sound amazing. Once the bass units have new surrounds, I reckon these will really sing! UK postage £10 - I usually use DX or Parcelforce, as they seem the most reliable and generally handle the treasure nicely.
